Wow. I love the simplicity and minimalism of it. Really well done. The colours are very subtle, but they work well for the layout. Oh, and btw, love the title! :D

Perfection comes by chance, not by intentions.

it just doesn't looks like it should be the way it is (the weird font that is, nothing wrong with sans-serif :P)

I like the cleaness and color schemes. I do not like so much of the navigation on the bottom. Studies show, and universities teach, that websites should be designed at 760x480 pixels. The fact that we, the viewer, would have to scroll down to see all that navigation isn't really working. The other thing is the type used and the header. I do not think that "U" works; maybe the type face or the color. I am not sure. I think you need to work on that logo type in general. With such a basic layout, you will need to work extra hard to create a focal point. With websites full of stuff, there is never a dull moment. For website this basic you really have to rely on a GREAT logo type and/or header to give it interest and a focal point. Last thing, the bright pink on the dark grey is not very legiable. You are on to a great start, but if were me I'd make some changes.

the coding's already done, and the templates been shipped off. i would have changed a lot too, but this was more about making the client happy than anything else...

Oh, and by the way, we're living in the 2000's now. Vertical scrolling isnt bad anymore...

It is taught in schools, universities, that is it bad. I go to a well renounced university with a highly noted Graphic Design program. I am in that program getting my Bachelor's of Science in Graphic Design. That is how we are taught. I meant no offense, so please don't take it personally.

As far as it being for a client, Graphic Designers are tools. That can suck sometimes. Our number one goal is to please our client, so for that you did the right thing.

Please keep in mind, designers couch was made for professional criticism. When someone gives you honest professional criticism, you should take it with more of an open mind.
